I am a husband, dad, and outdoor enthusiast that has learned the power of financial literacy. A few years ago, I managed my family’s finances in a vacuum due to my unmerited sense of financial prowess. I got a wake-up call when I realized my young family had accumulated over $100,000 in non-mortgage debt. At this point, I realized I needed to make a drastic change. This blog covers my long, painful trek to financial literacy, and highlights a lot of the things I learned (and continue to learn) along the way.
